We’re on Chris Hardwick’s NERDIST Podcast!!!

Friends, it doesn’t get much better than this (on earth)!  We performed at Comix with new friends Chris Hardwick and Jonah Ray back in March, and while we were “hanging out” at the show, Chris asked us if we would like to be on his podcast!  (We answered yes, NO DUH!!!)  This episode also features one of our favorite comedians, Eugene Mirman!!!  (Our part starts at 33:50.)  Check it out here:

Another Segment on The Sound of Young America!

Hey friends!  Here is Part 2 of our wonderful conversation with Jesse Thorn at  The Sound of Young America!  This segment focuses on Premarital Intercourse–one of the most difficult issues facing the Youth today.  We cover some of our “tried and true” techniques for warding off these sinful urges (example: keep a photo of your parents in your underpants!) and sing a special song about a special girl dealing with a special moment in her life.  Enjoy!

God’s Pottery on “The Sound of Young America!”

When we were “on tour” this past fall, we had the pleasure of recording some segments with Jesse Thorn for his wonderful show The Sound of Young America!  As we’re sure you know, reaching the Youth of Today is our central goal, so being able to speak directly to “Young America” was a rare opportunity.

The first of three segments–in which we cover the Plight of Adopteds–was just released this week and can be found on iTunes HERE.  Or, just enjoy our segment below!  We’ll have a couple more coming, so stay tuned!

We Are Part of the RISK! Podcast!

Hey Everybody!

The great Kevin Allison recently asked us to submit a song for his RISK! podcast, and we said “Yes, Kevin!”  (A podcast is like a radio show from space.)  The podcast features performances from the RISK! live show, which just won the ECNY Award for Best Variety Show!  There are some pretty spicy stories on this podcast, but it’s worth it to check it out none-the-less.  The episode is called “OBSESSIONS,” and it includes stories from Michael Showalter, Giulia Rozzi, and more!  You can find it on iTunes, ZUNE, or Stitcher.  Or, if you just want to hear our song, you can hear it here:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

The next live show of RISK! is Thursday, March 11 (tomorrow!) at 92Y Tribeca in NYC.   For more info on RISK!, check out www.risk-show.com!  (If it’s info on avoiding risk you want, check this out!!!)

Comedy, and other worldly dangers…

Our good friends at the Found Footage Festival have resurrected just a WONDERFUL and INSPIRING sermon from the great Dawson McCallister, who reminds us not only of the dangers of skateboarding and horse-raising, but also the dangers of COMEDY.  See, Dawson wanted to be a comedian once.  And we’re sure he would have been TERIFFIC!!  But he found a much more fulfilling way to use his gift of public speaking and mustache-growing.

We spend a lot of time around comedians, and while it’s fun to pick up their new quips and zingers to use at the next Youth Retreat, sometimes we worry that these guys (and gals!) spend so much acting cool for the kids that they forget to act cool for The Lord! Thanks to Reverend McCallister for reminding us, and thanks to FFF for supplying the reminder!
